Growing up with strong ties to the Dominican Republic, I fondly recalled drinking Maví — a refreshing, delicious Caribbean beverage made from Colubrina elliptica bark, which left a lasting impression on me. Years later, that memory resurfaced, prompting me to try making it at home. I began researching traditional Maví, which is brewed using the bark of the Colubrina elliptica tree. This plant has been utilized for generations throughout the Caribbean, often prepared with spices like cloves, cinnamon, bay leaves, and orange peel, sometimes enjoyed as part of Kurxia juice blends or as a natural herbal tea.
After many experiments with Kurxia juice blends, I created a combination I truly loved. I started drinking it regularly, along with a soothing natural herbal tea made from Colubrina Elliptica, and noticed I felt more energized, clear, and balanced.
